Nearby, many people don’t realize just how much there is to do in the Greater Bridgton and Sebago Lakes Regions of Maine. In addition to just enjoying the many activities and sites in the Town of Bridgton, the whole Western Maine Region offers art galleries, musical events, fairs, festivals, theater, and fun attractions for the whole family!

You can also take in town celebrations, such as Harrison Old Home Days, Casco Days, or Waterford’s “World’s Fair”. Enjoy other special events, such as the Sebago Lake Fishing DerbyFest, Naples Winter Carnival, the Holly Berry Fair, the Denmark Sheepfest, Maine Maple Sunday, The Fryeburg Home, Garden and Flower Show, the Blues Festival in Naples, the Western Maine Chili Cook-off, the Lovell Arts and Artisans Show, or the Maine Lakes Brewfest in Casco.

Check out Deertrees Theatre in Harrison (583-6747), School House Arts Center in Sebago (642-3743), or the Denmark Arts Center (452-2412) for live musical, theatrical, and children’s presentations.
Stone Mountain Arts Center (1-866-227-6523) is only a short drive away in Brownfield, but they feature nationally-known acts from all over the country.
In the fall, visit one of the many agricultural fairs, including the nearby Fryeburg Fair (935-3268), Northern New England’s largest.
The last remaining Shaker Village in the country is less than an hour away on Rt. 26 in Sabbathday Lake. Visit their museum and see how life was lived in simpler times. (926-4597)

You’re only an hour from Portland and the Coast of Maine! Take a day trip and see the Portland Museum of Art, numerous art galleries, the Maine Historical Museum, the Victoria Mansion, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s House, and other cultural attractions.

Other fun Family Activities include:Get in some miniature golf at Starboard Green (on the Naples Causeway) or Steamboat Landing (on Rt. 114 – 693-6782).

Hike on dozens of trails or take a guided tour of nature. Check with Lakes Environmental Assoc. (647-8580) and Loon Echo Land Trust (647-4352). (We also have maps!)

Try horseback riding at Any Day Now Stables (647-8704), Secret Acres Stables (693-3441) or Carousel Farms (627-4471)

Check out roaming buffalo at Beech Hill Farm & Bison Ranch (583-2515) in nearby Waterford.

Drive to the Songo Locks on State Park Rd. (between Rt. 302 and Rt. 114 in Naples) and see the oldest hand-operated locks still in use, allowing boats to pass from Brandy Pond to Sebago Lake.

Visit the live animals at the Maine Wildlife Park (657-4977) and nearby fish hatchery off Route 26, 3 1/2 miles outside of Gray.

Go-karts, mini-golf, & more, plus winter-time sledding at Seacoast Fun Park (892-5952) on Route 302 in Windham.

For a full day of fun, try a trip to Storyland in Glen, NH (45 minutes away – 603-383-4186).

Since you’re so close to the East Coast’s tallest mountain, take the old-fashioned Cog Railway (800-922-8825) or the Auto Road (603-466-3988)to the top of Mt. Washington.
