Highland Lake Resort: Robert aka "Woody" Woodward (1997-2018) Woody Woodward purchased the resort in 1997 and devotedly cared for and renovated the property for over two decades. He has been exceedingly generous with his time in helping teach us the workings of the hotel/motel and in sharing the keys to success of managing Highland Lake Resort. Woody's wife Dee, is an authentic, kind and brilliant woman who has devoted over 25 years to educating youth in our Maine communities. Woody has a colorful background, a quick wit, a giant heart and an arsenal of intriguing stories. His diverse background includes being an assistant sheriff, a business entrepreneur, a professional magician, a family planning counselor, and more. His latest calling is to serve people & God by becoming a Pastor. He is currently positioned at Cressey Road Methodist Church, in Gorham, Maine. Both Dee and Woody share their talents, their love & their lives with all those around them. Thank you Woody & Dee for everything, and may you enjoy the next adventure wherever it leads you!
Arey's Highland Lake Resort: Delbert Jr. Arey & Pam Arey (1984-1997) The Arey Family, including Delbert Jr., wife Pam and children Craig and Beth took over the property in 1984. When they purchased the property they invested time, money and energy into significant renovations and restorations. Below there are photos of the property and family.

Richardson's Motel, Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge:Herm Richardson (1953-1973) Information gathered from the Bridgton News on July 26th, 1984, reveals that Herm Richardson built the first resort in Bridgton, Maine next to his home in 1953. The photo at the top of this page is from their advertisement. After 20 years of running Richardson's Motel, Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge, Mr. Richardson retired and passed the property along to a new owner. Below are photos from the Richardson's from as early as 1960 spanning thirteen years.
