Class Description
Lila Yoga Sun Salutations | January 10, 17, 31 | 10am-11:15am (1hr15min)
Lila Yoga Sun Salutations is a thoughtfully curated vinyasa flow designed for an
elevated and aware morning. This accessible practice guides practitioners through the five elements of being - earth, water, fire, air, and ether - to cultivate the experience of yoga (union).
This class is accessible to all levels and is tailored to the practitioners in the room. Expect a dynamic sun-salutation-based flow with an emphasis on aligning breath, mind, and body. There is ample room for play, exploration, and experimentation, and students are encouraged to modify and make the practice their own.
With steady vinyasa movement and mindful transitions, this class builds strength, mobility, and awareness while remaining welcoming to beginners and engaging for more experienced practitioners. Lila Yoga offers both a strong foundation for a daily practice and a meaningful, energizing drop-in experience.
Payment can be made directly to the instructor via cash or venmo on sliding scale $10-$15
Biography
Aaron “Bear” Berger has been a dedicated yoga practitioner since 2009 and has taught hundreds of classes and thousands of students since receiving his RYT 200 in 2019 under world-renowned yogini Erica Kaufman.
His training is rooted in both traditional study (in the Krishnamacharya yoga lineage) and lived experience. Aaron has completed educational undertakings at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India, earned a Master of Reiki certification from Swami Prakash at the Himalayan Yoga Center in Rishikesh, received 40 hours of sound healing training from Shalom Mayberg, and has sat multiple 10-day silent Vipassana meditation retreats around the world.
Aaron’s teaching draws from yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practice and invites students to explore creativity, presence, and embodied awareness. He has taught classes ranging from beginner to advanced, and leads workshops on movement, mindfulness, and accessing creative potential.
Alongside teaching yoga and meditation, Aaron curates music and mindfulness events across the U.S. and is an active performing musician. He lives in Norway, Maine with his wife, and has found practical, sustainable ways to integrate yoga into everyday life - including his work as a carpenter and as a performing artist. His classes emphasize adaptability, curiosity, and practices that meet students where they are.
