The Perfect Location
The Highland Lake Resort is the perfect location for an unforgettable Western Maine Wedding and Reception. Imagine standing on a small, open point of land with the lake and White Mountains as your backdrop. The rustle of the leaves as a light, warm wind gently brushes by. The stillness of the setting broken only by the vows that are spoken by bride and groom, and the announcement that they are now "husband and wife". The sun, air, and water all reinforce the closeness of nature. Your reception can take place under the trees, continuing that feeling of sharing in nature's beauty. Picnic tables are already there, or we can arrange for more formal settings.

We can help you find a clergy member from almost any faith to conduct your ceremony. Or, we have our own Officiant who can help you create your own service. Choose from numerous sample services, either religious or civil, or write your own. Looking for a harpist, guitarist, or even bagpiper? We know where to find them. We also have a white arbor you can use for your service or a sound system to reach larger crowds.

A Tented Affair
Want to have your wedding outdoors? We have a flat area overlooking the lakefront that's perfect for a tent! We can provide a 40' x 60' tent that will hold approximately 125 people, including a dance floor and head table. Clear plastic sides are available if the weather is wet or windy. This way the view of the lake is never blocked.
The area is a few dozen feet from changing rooms and two restrooms (one of which is handicap-accessible) as well as a power and water source. There's aslo a paved area for the caterers to set up their equipment.

Indoor Function Room with View of the Lake
Of course, cold weather may bring the reception indoors. Our handicap-accessible function room holds up to 72 people, and features 30 feet of picture windows overlooking the lake, a fireplace, sound system, and access to up to three restrooms. We have the tables and chairs you need, plus many other wedding related items, such as linens, candleabras, silk floral arrangements, and more. Looking for a special theme? We can do that, too!
